Should have claimed something had come up. Not much point in claiming you stood there waiting and there was no sign of Arteta when you know there are 30 cameras on you.

Arteta was extremely nice about it. Can you imagine the stick he would have got for that....?

'People seem to be suggesting that you were unhappy with Arteta and his coaches, Unai?

'oh no! I am so so happy. Really so so happy'

    Rattled.

Oh, the desperate attempts of Sky to stir up a problem were embarrassing.

But.... it is clear that Emery has a bit of an issue with us as a club. I honestly don't mind that, and I don't blame him.

Martinez, on the other hand, is an ungrateful, loud-mouthed prick.

I see Martinez had to be stopped from confronting fans in the tunnel at the end. And did you see him warming up before the game? Literally blocking the entire tunnel with his legs for a considerable period of time.

Your assesment of him is accurate.

Just a guy who let late success go to his head. He waited 10 years to become number 1 with us and then leaves for money immediately- and blames us.

He is a good keeper. I bet it kills him that Raya is better.

Yup. He could have left and stayed popular with us. "Well done, Emi. First game back after Covid, some cheating monkey injured Leno trying to push him out of the box while holding the ball. You came on, made a great save straight away and helped us win the cup so thanks for that. Best of luck with your career."

But no, had to be an utter bellend.

That's why it was so funny when Jorgy's shot came back off the bar and went in off his head. He then came up for a corner, and Fabio played it perfectly for Gabbygol to walk it into the net.

            Karma.

We always give Wellbeck and good reception and he responds. Martinez is a tosser. Still, we basically got Daveeeed for Emi plus 6 mil. Touch. I wonder why he hates us? Or is that just what he's like with everyone?

As I understand it, he wanted a guarantee that he would be number 1. Fair enough to skme extent as he had spent years not playing. Arteta told him he would start the season as number 1 but to stay there he'd have to earn it and be worth it. Like any other player.....

So he took the money and went to Villa who gave him a guarantee. Fair enough, again.

But the guy is a ****. What can you do

Don't know about you, but for me Xhaka gets a standing ovation when he comes back with Sunderland. And he had his issues with us.

Nothing wrong with being a bit of a ****. Every dressing room needs them. Nobody wants 22 nice guys.

GX earned the love we have for him. He signed when we started going down hill, had the horrible fan attitudes to AW and then became capt under good ebening. His substitution was cheered as it was the only way of making our feelings about good ebening known but he took it personally.

Yet AM convinced him to stay and in his final season, he got us into a title challenge for the first time in years. He deserves all the respect we show him and he shows us.

The irony is that we signed him as a deep lying playmaker when we had Santi and Ozil but was just too slow on the turn to play DM.

In his final season, he moves forward to inside left, like Dec {who is a world class DM to boot} has done and had his best ever season for us.

And he was not just a leader but a born trouble maker. And if we are being honest, we love that as fans

Stayed in the right way, left in the right way and will come back in the right way.
