  • So sounds like we will be active in the winter transfer market.

?The window is there. We?re Arsenal. Now, we have to be looking at it,? he told assembled media this week.

?Okay, what do we need? We have to be actively looking. And then can we do it or not? That?s a different story, but our job is to always be very prepared because something can happen. So, hopefully [it will be] very positive.?

So what's on the shopping list? A full back, perhaps? One that can cover both sides.

A central midfielder with potenital - someone to cover Rice.

    A left winger?

Midfield must be top of the list as the next injury pile up so I guess a new midfielder would be good.

Realistically, we probably won't buy anyone. We don't really need it and you cant just buy players to cover injuries. Unless someone really interesting comes up, I suspect we will not do anything.

But then I am basing that on previous Januarys. Maybe Berta has other ideas.

I wouldn't be surpirsed if we bring in this Bouaddi from Lyon. Seems to be one of the most promising in the world and assume the club would like a potentially appreciating asset.

I wonder if Martinelli might be allowed to go if a sizable offer arrives?

I think he?ll hold on to Martinelli until the summer. Think he?d prefer to flog Jesus before him. I?d also like to see another midfielder come in, we?re buggered if anything happens to both Rice & Zubi, although Norgaard was quite tidy when he played midweek.

I don't think they did work. Players just played with injuries and their careers ended at 30.

But in those days it was ok because they could retire and buy a pub. Can't do that now

That's a nice idea, JB. Do you have someone in mind? Perhaps tempt City with an offer for Haaland? Or offer Harriman-Anous in swap for Mbappe?

Nobody will mind if Timber drives an Uber after he wins us the European Cup.

Except perhaps Mrs Timber. But you simply cannot please everyone, can you.
