He's trying to do too much, I think. Understandable.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

For some reason, his decisions have become laboured and slightly flawed. That has always been his biggest strength.

At the end he just looked exhausted

That's what I mean; he's our most reliable, most-productive forward and has been for some time. That's a heavy responsibility.

The issue isn't him, it's the others.

He made one assist and Gabbygol should have scored his one at the end. Not such a bad day at the office. There was also the other one that went across the face of the goal that led to loads of attempts including Zubi's backheel. On another day that's three assists while playing poorly.

I don't think Saka trusts Gyokeres to either finish, control the ball or just be in the right place at the right time. He then tries to over compensate.

I don't understand why Saka wasn't subbed on 70 mins. He was farked then.
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

                That is what i thought.

He definitely hasn't been himself for a while.

I don't want to say too much about Gyokeres....

They're talking about loaning Ethan to Bournemouth ffs.

Good idea. He isnt getting any minutes at all

And not to say 'told you so', but I did point this out in the summer. Signing Madueke and Eze was always going to shunt him to the very back of the queue. He couldn't get starts or serious minutes when we had 6 forwards injured, and now he doesn't even minutes off the bench in the League Cup.

He has no choice but to go on loan. Arteta doesn't trust him and he can't learn anything without playing.

That one is puzzling. I thought that situation was the whole point of Noni.

Knackered players on the pitch, fit players on the bench; we can't really complain when it inevitably .. can we

                        He's too small.

It?s *the huge question that remains of Arteta?s in game management tactics. Villa were getting a pasting at Chelsea yesterday, something like 30% possession at one point with zero attempts in goal. Introduced three players and turned it around. Perhaps not a like for like example, but surely when players are flagging you introduce others with fresh legs, particularly up front.

Again, a consequence of not killing the game. He probably feels that even a tired Saka is better defensively than Madueke so he will keep him on to protect the flank rather than increase the threat of the counter.

If you are 3-0 up you don't have to worry. If you are brave you don't have to worry. We are rarely either.

Arteta's caution is the source of almost all our problems.

Right. But it is also the key to our relative success.

As yet, we can not afford a forward line good enough to have us 3-nil up in every game. You said it yourself.
