He was himself. Played well, got in great positions, didn't score. That is him in a nutshell.Originally posted by 7sisters View PostI?m not sharing the commentators praise for Jesus tonight. Lacking the instinctive prowess of a number nine.
I think he?s gone in January, if a decent offer comes in.
Same with us. Created some chances, nicked a goal from a corner, picked up an injiry and conceded a late goal. That is who we are

He had two headers, ignoring the rest, one of which was a world class save that Smudger said he couldn't have done more with. And if Smudger said it was perfect then that's good enough for me. The other went inches wide with the 'keeper beaten. Perhaps he over-compensated a touch after the first but who knows. If either had gone in, we'd be singing his praises.Originally posted by Peter View PostHe was himself. Played well, got in great positions, didn't score. That is him in a nutshell.

That is by far the most frustrating thing about him. He doesn't LOOK like a bad finisher. It isnt as if he routinely stumbles over or snatches at the ball. He just seems to manage to find a way to hit the post or allow the keeper to make a good save. And then sometimes he finishes like a God.Originally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View PostHe had two headers, ignoring the rest, one of which was a world class save that Smudger said he couldn't have done more with. As I said earlier, this is his real problem. We don't need him to score 30 a season. We just need him to not miss 30 a season. But the rest of his game is so good that he gets into so many good scoring positions. And then finds a way to not score.

Pep knew tbf. He?s had an extended stay on account of injury but if we harbour an interest in helping the balance sheet, we?ll get shot before he limps off the field again.Originally posted by Peter View PostThat is by far the most frustrating thing about him. Everton, Palace, West Ham would all be queueing. ?25-30m ?

I think we'd be lucky to get half that.Originally posted by 7sisters View PostPep knew tbf. He?s had an extended stay on account of injury but if we harbour an interest in helping the balance sheet, we?ll get shot before he limps off the field again.
