  • When are we off to Dubai this season?

We've had a 50/50 strike rate with it right?

What will it be this season? An inspired break that sees us come back and go on a title winning run?

Or two players clatter into each other and we come back with more people on the physio's table?

Do we even have enough uninjured players to fill a physio's table, as it were

Seriously though, is the Dubai-disco a regular thing now, because wasn't it a lucky concatenation of circumstances that made it possible the first time; early cup exits, postponed games etc.?

What happened to the winter break?

Did that only last a season?

Yeah, ****ed out the window. Apparently the calendar's too full already, what with all that football, so there's simply no time for mid-season break

Havertz seems determined to winter in sunny Dubai, no matter what

I?m reading he?s had yet another setback in training, whatever that means.
            Mid to late Jan ?
We?ll be ten points off of City by then of course.

Yeah, he's ****ed again. But netter news elsewhere. Looks like Ben White won't be out for more than a few weeks and Gabriel could be back in the new year.

So the next round of injuries should be due to start then. I assume it will be the midfield this time....

This from Arteta's presser today, not much negative there:

In a positive Kai Havertz update, Arteta stated: "He's progressing really well and quite fast in the last few weeks. We are really positive that if everything continues like that in the next training sessions, he's going to be with us."

However, the boss was not willing to share exactly which match the attacker will make his first appearance since the opening day of the season.

"I do [have a game in mind]. I don't want to say because, again, I think in that last part of, especially after such a long time, that after the rehab, I think we need to be cautious and we need to go really firmly with every step that we take along the way to make sure that when he's back, he's back and he's back for the long term."

In a word, he'll be lucky to be on the bench at the Astrodome in June

Perhaps it'll be the medical staff. They could do with some time off

Our medical department will be demanding a holiday in Dubai, at this rate

That's probably where we need new signings. We probably don't have cover for them.

Hmm. Didn't Wenger also have perpetual, bordering on the ridiculous, injury issues.

I suspect the new training ground has been anathematised, by Watford Football Club probably. Or Nicolas Anelka.

We suffered a lot under Wenger but I always assumed that was at least partly because we had a squad full of crocks- Diaby, Rosicky, Wilshere, Van Persie, Walcott. These guys could get injured getting out of bed.

His earlier sides did ok on the injury front.
