  • I?m afraid it will not work out for poor Viktor

The team is under clear instructions not to pass to him. I suspect Arteta didn?t want him or Eze.

Perfect timing for when havertz to return to automatically be first choice starter again.

    Shame really.

You think Arteta holds secret meetings with the squad when Gyokeres goes home? 'ppppst. make sure you never pass to Viktor'.

Why would it be a shame when Havertz comes back who has the best goalscoring record at the club and is a wonderful footballer who fits seemlessly into our attack?

Are you sure it might not be just that Gyokeres is a clumsy oaf with a poor touch and very little strength to hold onto the ball? I'm not even impressed with his finishing.

They could have tried to find him yesterday. Also could have kept him on. Saka definitely has no interest in passing to him in previous games.

      I think he?s a pain that Arteta doesn?t want.

But many people have said that one problem last season was Kai going to the right and cramping the space for B. And others, like Shearer who knows about these things, have said that his strength and chaos is great for us.

That's just not true. In those games before the injury when he was playing well, Vik dropped deep into the right channel and played some lovely 1-2s with B.

I never buy into all this 'so and so won't pass to so and so'.

It may have been true at school where you don't pass to the fat kid but I don't buy it here.

Does make a clear point about how you should not pay inflated prices for players in these secondary leagues, regardless of how impressive their stats appear.
Should have paid more attention to Brighton.
Cesko hasn?t exactly covered his fee and let?s not even go there with Mudryk.

I think we signed a striker to shut people up. I honestly don't think that Arteta is a big fan of the out and out centre forward. The plan was to start Havertz but....

Exactly. Forwards sometimes get selfish and take a shot when there was a pass for tap in, but it's never they won't pass to a specific player.

And there's no way our mad manager would put up with players not passing when they should.

For God's sake, it's only December. We didn't have Kai to allow a gradual introduction, he's been playing with different players every week with our best central creator, Odin, out for much of the season when they need time to learn to play together like B-Odin-BW did/do. Timber's the best FB since Lauren but even he's still learning how to combine with those two as well as BW. And he's been injured.

Yet his goals, the interplay before the injury {and Ganpati willing coming back straight away} and what he adds to the team has been far more than Sesko, Isak or Etitike. Without him, we'd have been playing with MnM all season, and he might have got crocked. I do like what MnM does up top, I think a false 9 who can score, create and win aerial duels is something that MA likes. But imagine we hadn't signed a striker and everyone was injured.

We'll soon have 4 different options up top, one of whom can also play wide, one as a ten and one as a box-to-box MF.

The problem is the defensive injuries, not Vik.

I didn't say he was the problem. Just that I think Arteta prefers Havertz.

                      And so do I.

Managers never are, unless they score enough goals. And such individuals are not easy to come by.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

passed to the fat kid at school to try and help him with his self esteem. And when he invariably messed up I would put my arm around his shoulder and explain that what really mattered was that he'd tried his best. Were you a bully Peter?
