Declan Rice is ill. He didn't travel

Praise God. Hope he has a nasty cold and needs a few days in bed

Was hoping that was a cheeky fib because surely the Arsenal-tariff for "He's ill" is the proverbial 2-3 weeks?

Otherwise we won't see him again before Valentine's Day
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Possibly, it cpuld be rotation but Arteta doesn't want to admit it, in case we lose.

Either way, I hope he is sat at home with a bowl of crisps or whatever it is people do these days.

Don't like the idea of him filling up with crisps though; bit of fruit, some raw vegetables.
