Gyokeres is too bloody slow. It's a marginal thing but,

    I know Harlaaand's good but he hasn't scored 50 this season, has he? So given Vik's got 5, your statement is not factually correct.

    Also, remember when Horseface scored 40-odd and everyone said he was better than Titi. Didn't we win the Double that year?

    Look, I get you don't like Vik, just like WES couldn't stand Rambo. Given the skill elsewhere in the team, if our opponents have to put 2 defenders on Vik and he has the skill to drag them away from the action it won't matter if he doesn't touch the ball all season, let alone score.

    B's had far more space this year, and has been running riot when fit. {The FK came from a foul on him that wouldn't have happened if they'd doubled up on him on the wing.} Might be why Noni was looking so good before injury.

    If we keep winning and keep keeping clean sheets, I'm happy. I also think Kai back will benefit everyone. Vik hasn't had a break, and some games will suit one more than the other. Plus the ability to play both when we need a goal could prove vital.

      Look, you could be right, it?s still early days and all that but I couldn?t help noticing George Graham in the crowd, his presence embellishing those grinding 1-0 days of old. Personally, I favour the aesthetes, the beautiful game if you will but ultimately, I?ll take an ugly, uncompromising win over an exquisite draw.
      I said when Jack scored vs Norwich that now we'd actually walked the ball into the net by playing balletic one touch volleys as 1-2s, we might as well stop football. We'd done it. After years of trying, we'd done it.

      So let's try to win the league conceding the fewest goals, least shots on target, most clean sheets, most 1-0s, score the most set pieces, and have by far the highest set piece to open play goal ratio in history, just to piss everyone else off.

      Remember when Fergie said our Invincibles didn't count cos we had so many draws? I want the whole football world to say out title doesn't count because if you take out the set pieces we'd have been lower-mid table.

        Remember, no centre forward has been prolific under Arteta. Aubamayang, Laxazette, Eddie, Jesus, Havertz. All have played well but none have scored a huge amount of goals. Havertz has the best strike rate at around 1 in 2 games at centre forward.

        We have players who can score goals. We jist need more creativity. Gyokeres can help with that without scoring.
        Good point. The fact that when MnM played up top he was scoring something like 2 in 5 shows that it's the system. Auba twice got 22 league goals, same as the Manc Orc last year. We seem to have lots of total footballers playing a very defensively organised system. Keep it tight but when you do get the chances, it doesn't matter if it's your DM hitting a volley or your LB in the no.9 position, your players can take their chances.

        {I also think it interesting that since he played up top, MnM's now playing for Spain in his normal box-to-box role but banging them in, cos he's learned how to get into positions to score and now has the confidence that he can. I wonder if he's gutted that injuries stopped us playing the Dec-MnM-Odin MF I think MA wanted last season with Kai up top. If he could be doing his MF-ey duel winning ting, and his edge of the box creativity but also bang in double figures - in short what he's doing for Spain atm - he could have become a legend.

        Hopefully, he's happy to be a squad player in a winning team.}
