Why are we playing Saturday, following a Weds CL game
Thought it was always a Sunday ?
Oh, hang on. It?s another Arsenal thing again because I notice all the others are on Sun.
Thursday in Europe = Sunday. Which is why our game late November versus Palace was moved from Sat 3pm to Sun 2pm (because they're playing on the Thurs).

Fairly sure only the Tuesday games were played on Saturdays, while the Weds games were always a Sunday. Thursday Europa games are a given. A Weds CL game only allows two days to prepare on a Saturday fixture. In the case of West Ham, they?ve had a whole week.
Just as well they?re shyte and we weren?t up against Everton away.

I'm not sad enough to go back through old fixtures to check your theory but there's also cup and league games that get played on a Wednesday and the sides involved aren't all moved to a Sunday.
Some (not definitive) info from PL website:
A considerable impact is made by UEFA competitions. Competition organisers look traditionally to give clubs at least two clear days between matches.
So Champions League matches taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings may not affect the Saturday 15:00 slots, but they can influence the dates for which Sky or TNT can select them.
A team playing on a Tuesday in the Champions League, for example, cannot play on the preceding Sunday in the Premier League.
Similarly, because the UEFA Europa League and Conference League matches take place on Thursday evenings, the Premier League clubs participating in those competitions cannot play on the Saturdays following those matches.

I remember our Europe years as Thurs-Sun, but in the CL we'd play half the games on Weds and I don't remember that meaning a Sunday match.
