In other news, Quantum had a decent game which is good after he got hooked at halftime away at Villa. After that game, Titi said it was his first away match in the PL but he'll learn how to deal with them. And yesterday showed he already had one of the hardest away grounds.
He played the ball into the box for Ødin's cut back that Kaiser hit over. He had a stunning defensive tackle, which we were worried might be a weakness. He had the cross to B at the bakpost that Kaiser would have scored from if GX hadn't flicked the ball behind with his heel at waist height. And he won the freekick on the edge of the box that ended with JT heading the ball home from an offside position. That will do in a game where we didn't particularly play that well.
That should never have been a penalty against us. MotD all said so. And Ashley Williams said that now they've set the precedent, every attacker at a corner is going to be trying to drag a defender on top of them so they go down underneath him. So there will now be even more cheating at corners as a result.
What's really depressing is that we didn't conceive the corner last season. We were going for two on the trot. And now we've conceded. one that should never have been given. And given that referee panel decided that Bruno should have had a penalty at Aston Villa, we've had two wrong penalty decisions against us in four games. I hope these do really even themselves out over the season. Because what is the point of VAR neither of those decisions are overturned?
{Also, if you look at Daveed's double save, one of the attackers jumps and grabs Daveed's arm between his arm and body. Similar to the way in which the penalty at West Ham was overturned last season. That should never have been allowed.}
But when they had the scramble in our box that led to the counter attack from which Quantum was fouled on the edge of the area, their back heel was blocked superbly by Ezri.
And Bruno was superb when he came on. As well as the goal, he played the through ball at the end from which B would have scored had not been fouled for the penalty. So he would've had a goal under assist.
All in all, all three new signings did rather well. Given Big Willy was out, we could have drawn that game - or worse - as we did last season but the new signings made a difference.
And Bruno giving it to the Sunderland fans. It hate him if he was your opponent, but now he's one of us, I love him to bits. What a way to announce yourself to the Arsenal fans.

So a good result, all in all. And now we find ourselves cheering for Manchester United this afternoon so we can go clear at the top.
The one worry is that MA doesn't seem to trust Vik and I don't want us to break Kaiser. He might have scored from Ødin's cut back that Kaiser hit over, but the system we're playing now doesn't really play to his strengths. I think we need to find another false nine. In Naples, MnM had that headed chance playing from midfield while Vik had none. As B and Kaiser was swapping positions yesterday, could B play as a false nine with Noni or the Doctor on the wing? Or Easy? He can create on the edge of the box and finish.
We really need to find a world class player who can play left-wing, nine and 10. I wish we'd try to get that Ferran Torres who scored in the World Cup final. Still, if we can get to January without any injuries, we have 100 million pound's worth of dry powder. But are we really going to be able to find an Aubameyang or AA23?
Anyway, as I explained to Peter but I text last night during the match, the reason we won not lost was because Daveed has long arms and big hands. I love Spunky to bits but I honestly think that Daveed's on course to be the best ever goalkeeper I've seen played for us.
