  • It's that fvckin' excrescence of a song alright. It has angered the Gods of Football.

It didn't develop organically from the real fanbase, it's a pitiful piece of totally contrived football culture fakery.

And now I discover it was Arteta's idea! Wot evvah, d'wevvah! Just fvck off. When he is shown the door at the end of another fruitless season, I hope this phoney piece of cvnthousery goes wih him.

    I think it's rather nice.

What's angered the God's is this rigid, overly structured, strait-jacketed style which reduces players to little more than automata, inhabiting prescribed spaces without thought or imagination.

    I appreciate it's the modern way. But it's ****.

Don't make mischief C. You detest the song every bit as much as I do.

Gen Z?ers though H. They lap it up and *they are the clubs future; they?re having their moment.
No doubt a time will come when the next generation opt to disassociate themselves from Arteta and his group hugs, but things could be worse, they?re not yet swaying back and forth with their phone lights on, or bobbing, like all of those toffs at a prom.

It's still better than nearly every other club's though

Football is all about gamblers, Fantasy Football managers, statto-tacticos and video-gamers nowadays.

            The beautiful game's gone.

Right. It's an impossible task and we've managed it very well.

The only one definitely better is Everton and their Z-Cars; lovely story behind that one as well and (as an aside) we learned/used to sing Johnny Todd at school and I've always like it.

I'm really happy you said that, JB. Listening to Shawn Colvin and Aimee Mann right now
