Ganpati, thanks to His Infinite Wisdom and Loving but Cheeky sense of humour, got you to offer a genuine prayer before the Boscombe game and look how He rewarded you/us.

If you do it and we lose, you can go back to believing that it's all stuff and nonsense.

But imagine if you don't do it and we lose? You'll spend the rest of your life wondering.

So instead imagine that being a rational man, if you tried something and it worked once, you try it again to increase the sample size to get a slightly better understanding of reality. And that Lord Ganesha always wanted you to do this, just like He always wanted us to win the Big Ears, but He's gonna make them both happen at the same time.

In Nigeria, loads of Gooners went into the church in our colours, with trophies, and danced around as the priest blessed the trophies.

You see, mate. Pwoppa religion, that. We don't want people killing each other in the name of God or suggesting that a loving God will punish our Immortal Souls simply because what we do now doesn't fit with some age old book.

God created us and football {along with everything else} out of Pure Love. He wants us all to be together and to be happy. And He sees that us winning has done that for all these fans so of course the priest will bless them.

I know you're not a , Herbs, but if our churches were like this, wouldn't a little part of you want to go? One day, I will go to an African Gooner church. My fave place is the Sikh Gurdwara in Manikaran in the Parvati Valley. But I'd love to go to one of these churches, too.
