Story of the day for me has to be *****gate

Olympic ski jumpers injecting their todgers with something to increase size so that they are allowed to wear ski jumping outfits with larger crotches as this, apparently, helps them jump farther.

All of which is not only amusing, but clearly confines ski jumping to the category of nonsensical sports

Alongside synchronised swimming, rythmic gymnastics and a few others I can't think of right now.

They should go the other way and legalise it. Let them wear those bat-wing suit things. They'd be landing in a different country. It would be tops. I'd actually watch that.

It's not even as though the chap or chapess who jumps the longest wins, they then tinker with starting gates due to wind and finally throw in "style" marks.

I do love the Winter Olympics though.

Anything with style marks is not a sport imo

I dunno. I thought they should have given us all trophies in perpetuity and ended football after Jack scored that goal vs Norwich. We'd done it. We'd walked the ball into the net via a series of one touch, 1-2, flicks and volleys. We'd won football.

Canada will go into a meltdown if the Men don't win hockey gold, especially if we lose to the Yanks.

    What with Trump and everything

If you are in Oslo it's worth taking the local train out to Holmenkollen then walking on up (and it is UP) to the ski jump. Then going to the top of that. It's a long way up! Spectacular views. Also, sit on left hand side of train for good views on the way.
