    Indeed. I cant?t remember the last time any of their managers went longer than 18 months since the dodgy oil money flooded in. Maureen may have been the exception.

    In fairness to Roman, Chelsea have always been like that with managers. When I was a nipper, they had Dave Sexton for a decent time but after him they seemed to have a new one every season. Anyway, they've had way more than we have.

    Trouble at the Bridge is their owners think they know how to run a football team, like at Manchester United right now. So they want a "coach" who is young and inexperienced, malleable and flexible, no firm opinions and definitely no bright ideas. Someone who is not intellectually or footballistically committed. Somebody who will do as he is told by the worthies upstairs and be grateful.
