Be interesting to see who interchanges with Madueke and Havertz when both are fit. So many options. I wonder if we?ll ever see Jesus again, although I?m guessing the accountants won?t want to risk a new years sale after all he?s been through.

Havertz, ideally, will be eased back in. He hasn't played 90 minutes in nearly a year.

He really isn?t, R. Granted he could be doing worse but my main takeaway so far are of him spooning most of his goal attempts over the bar.

He assist for the City equaliser, the finish in the LC, the assist for Vik's first, the pass at the weekend that split the defence and got the corner that led to the goal, that one that was saved that Dec half volleyed in etc. Lovely ball for B tonight, too.

He's playing in a new team, in different roles - LW, L8, R8, sole 10 - and the only game we've lost was before he'd made a start. And the only other dropped points he got the last minute assist for.

The team isn't even firing yet. Remember Kai's first half season and then the post-Dubai run?

Interesting that he came on not Hinchappy. He's played LCH as well as RCH {and RB.} I think MA may see him as the Tomi swiss-army knife defender, like AW used Skiltord to cover the whole front four.

When everyone's back we don't have space for 4 defenders on the bench, something has to give. If Triphop can cover both CH positions, great.

But it does make you wonder why we spent all that money on Hinchappy.
