“Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.”
Certain things stick with you, la.
Like overbearing, bullying PE teachers telling you not to enjoy your victories. That sort of thing.
That and a particulrly nasty teacher leaning back on his chair in assembly and falling off the back of the stage
The rest? A largely forgettable comprehensive experience.

Firstly, the change stopping CL teams dropping down to the EL has been great for the EL. Those years we got 2 semis and a final we lost to teams down from the CL.
BUT that would be great if the strength in depth of the PL wasn't so much more than the other big European leagues. It really could lead to all English finals for a while. You'd expect any PL team other than the relegated 3 to beat all those teams Sperz played en route to the final. Hope the Eagles win it next year.
However, ignoring that, we'd have loved to have won the EL those 3 years we came close. And of our FA Cup wins, does anyone remember the years we won playing mainly non-top flight teams, or without leaving London? Did we care when we won the final?
I just hope we've had all our injury bad luck in one go, and we have an injury free season next year, with Odin et al getting back to their very best and beyond.
That early goal vs PSG was a killer. A few inches either way and they wouldn't have scored and we could have gone on with the crowd buzzing and growing in strength. We also had enough chances to still turned 'round the tie. B scores that tap in at 3-1 down on aggregate and we could well have pushed on for an equalizer and ET.
We did all of that without either of our strikers, our two first choice LCHs, Wigwam banned for the first leg and literally no-one to bring off the bench unless we needed a few more LBs.
I guess the plus side of last night is that ManU can't offer CL football
We have a summer to make sure our players are properly prepared for the season, physically. Hopefully we have learned a lesson and will avoid some of the many muscular injuries we have had.
However...... as I have said before, the problem this season was not the injuries. The two strikers getting injured at the same time was very unfortunate but our form before that was poor. And when we get injuries, we have to be able to cope with them better.
I hope (and expect) that Arteta has learned a few things from this season. We have a great chance of being champions next year.
