Overall, I think Sterling has done ok......

No, sorry, even I can't say that and keep a straight face

You never know, he might have kept the dressing room smiling and helped some of the kids with their homework, that sort of thing.

You know, ?300K a week worth...

He has one more game to prove us all wrong

It would be quite nice for him to sign off with a goal or two, wouldn't it?

I say 'sign off' - has anyone asked Arteta if the club are considering making his loan permanent?

I think the conversations are probably geared more towards making his vacation permanent. He shouldn't signing off, he should be signing on....

Quite frankly, him departing with a great performance at Southampton would be ****ing annoying.

It's sad really. Do you think he's just lost it or that he has something to offer if a club can get his confidence up? Maybe someone like an Everton.

Assuming he still trains hard and has the desire; there must be a player in there somewhere.

I must admit, I never thought he was that great. I thought he was one of those players that need to make the most of what they have in order to be effective. No doubt the hunger has gone a fraction, that is inevitable given what he has been through.

He seems to have lost a yard of pace as well. I doubt anyone will touch him now. I certainly wouldn't.

No shame in retiring early if it isnt happening for you. He can't be short of a few quid.....

I agree but then I'd look at his output and think 'I've clearly got him wrong'. Kane is similar for me in this respect.

He's still got 2 years of 350k a week at Chelsea so imagine they'll be looking to loan him out somewhere.

I think he's already proven his arse can warm the bench as well as anyone...
