    I want Timber to stay where he is. He's ****ing murdering it at right back. No way I'd consider moving him.
    I'd also keep Wigwam for 2 years. He's immense. But if you want to keep Jurri?n at right back, then play Benny Blanc in MF.

    Unusually, Peter is right, GG

    You don't touch this back 5 at the moment. And with Partey out I would take a draw in the first leg. If we can beat Madrid at the Bernabeu we can beat PSG at PdP.

    I can't really see any option other than Merino in midfield and Trossard up front, I think Merino has been playing more like a midfielder even though he's supposed to be up front, anyway. Both his assists against Madrid came from positions in midfield.

    If Arteta wanted to very conservative he could put White in Partey's position and leave Merino up front, but with him having been injured I can't see it happening.

    Completely agree WES. Wait - isn't you, Peter and I being of the same mind one of the signs of the Apocalypse? Typical - just before we get to the final

    Two pints each with lunch and then a bottle of red with dessert (cheese, of course). Un vrai dej francais.

    That and the three of us agreeing requires a serious lay down, Luis.

    To make things even worse, I agree with all 3 of you. I was just posting about an article I'd read that minute on Newsnow saying they'd play JT at DM. Didn't Leo get us 17 goals last season?

    It's just Dec in the more advanced role has looked one of the best MFs on the planet.

    That last bit is true. He struggled a bit in the first half of the season but his form over the last few months has been incredible.

    Imagine we could have another summer that added Dec, Kai and JT to the team.

    JT was injured and the plan to play Dec and Kai in a 6 and 8, but then turning to an 8 and 9 shows that we were bloody unlucky to come 2nd that year.

    He tried to replace Wigwam and Granit all at once. Now Dec is the ultimate GX replacement. Better in every regard. But just like GX in his final season was at his best, now we have Wigwam to replace when he's at last looking consistently like the player we hoped we were buying.

    Imagine if we'd had him with Santi and Ozil. {Or Dec for that matter.}

    As far as I'm concerned, Partey is the same player he has been since he first arrived. His only real issue was staying fit.

    I hope he stays another year. Otherwise we need to sign two midfielders this summer.....

    Furthermore, I don?t warm to the idea of him walking out on a free. The club need to up their game in that respect.
