    Declan's first free kick

Am I alone in thinking this is the better of the two? Don't get me wrong both are absolutely 10/10 brilliant.

Yes, the 2nd was better. Perfection.

Don't think either wall was particularly well set up though.

Second one is better purely because it lands right in the very top corner. First one is is pretty ****ing brilliant as well

The way I see it, the way the wall was set up for the 2nd and our players smartly moved away effectively gave Rice a open goal to smash it in. The execution and power of it is tremendous so obviously still brilliant.

The 1st the way he curled it actually AROUND the wall, not up and over the wall is just insane. No keeper will ever save that because the view is obstructed by the wall and by the time the keeper sees the ball it's in the back of the net. The curve on it was phenomenal and he hit it with some ooph as well.

Easier to bend it round the wall, than get it up and over and then down. Declan essentially said as much, not to say that it wasn't perfectly executed.

This is the essential difference between the two. The first one went round the wall, the second went to the goalkeeper's side.

I think you can make an argument for either of them being better. The precision required for the first one is to make it around the wall and inside the post, with pace. For the second, it is about getting it right into the very corner, from wide, and at pace.

I've seen people saying the walls were wrong. I don't buy it at all.

The wall is definitely wrong for the 1st one. 2nd one less so, still think they were a man short in both.

Amid all the fuss on the free kicks, I think Merino's finish is overlooked - that was a beauty as well

The view behind the goal showing the spin on the ball is incredible.

How far outside the post do you want the wall? I think you set it so it takes a world class strike just to get round it, never mind beat the keeper.

For the second, the wall is irrelevant. Rice goes keeper's side, it is deliberately open.
