I think the dressing room wasn't perfect from day one. It is a HUGE challenge to keep players focused every year when they keep on winning the same thing. After 4 years of winning the title it isn't too surprising to see a little dip.

That little dip has then been transformed into a giant hole by the injury to Rodri, as well as some other key injuries in the same area. We all know how much they rely on Rodri and they have struggled before when he is out. And their depth in that area of the pitch isnt great.

Of course they will recover, and I can see a long stretch of wins. But I can't see them putting together the sort of run they did last season. Rodri is absolutely key in the games where they are not setting the world alight. There will be games where they drop points this season that maybe in previous seasons they would have got over the line.

Unless Liverpool suffer a dramatic collapse, City are not going to be part of the title race this season.

So.... a great oppotunity to hit them with a big fine and points deduction......
