Said the same about Rice - but I tend to agree unless they "need" to sell I imagine they will hang on

I think there is a great deal more animosity between the clubs here, and Newcastle can at least claim to be a rival, whereas West Ham....

Very good player, although not a flawless injury record. I wouldn't be breaking the bank for him.

    Good points

(I still wouldn't mind a cheeky bid for Darwin Nunez - but again no was Liverpool would sell to us)

I do think he is a decent player but his finishing is far from great. We have those players already.

Another 4 goals for Sweden last night....I suspect we've missed the boat. Horrible feeling he'll go to United

So we're all agreed then; we need a striker
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

How about a few more defenders?
I think we've already bought them all.

No, I don't think I agree. I would rather spend the money on some tricky winger types and save for the rest for replacing Jorginho next summer.

Strikers are old hat these days. Dinosaurs

Fair enough. I just hope the issue does not end up costing the manager his job in the next couple of years, only to have a new DoF and coach go out and splash the cash on the goalscorers we may have wanted.

I really like Mikel and his football and it would be a terrible waste.

I agree, and of course I would love a brilliant striker who can play football and score goals. I would also love to win the lottery and I am unsure which of those is more likely.

Havertz is the best we'll get. A very good and very clever all round footballer who has no principled objection to the regular scoring of goals.
