Nah, if I'm not sweet with her then I've no-one protecting me.

Maybe Hanuman doesn't like me referring to all players from teams north of the M25 as dirty, northern monkeys?

Oh, that's wicked, mate. Should be sorted for La Défense - one change and a very short journey time. Much better than the 16e for you, imo. Easy to get into the centre or down to the 16e.

Great park, too, for walking your hounds. Only a mile to the river as well.

And they'll love you when you go native. If you're a Rosbif who lives there and speaks the lingo, you'll fit right in complaining about the tourists.

If, Ganpati willing, I get out there in December, do you fancy meeting up for a quick drink? Might even be able to take in a match.

{Though my record on that isn't great. Found a French pub near me in the 4e, other side of Rivoli and asked them if I could watch the Arse-Rennes game there the next day. They checked, said no other French teams were playing so fine.

Got a pint, we went 1-0 up, ordered another pint, about 30 mins into the game. And as soon as I did that, their telly channel stopped working. Had to rush the pint I was hoping to last me the next 30-45 min, walked back checking the score and they equalised. Then they scored 2 more when I was back in the flat. Thank Ganpati we won the return 3-0.

Anyway, you must be well chuffed, mate. How long does the nice lady say it's gonna take to find you your new chez-vous?
Defo drop me a note when you’re in town and we can find a dodgy French bar in town to watch a game.

Speaking to the lady doing the search for me on Thu, need a place secured by mid Nov probably to make sure the whole visa and residency permit process works. Jan in a temp apartment then move into ours Feb 1. Love the 17th, everything near Parc Monceau is stunning.

Possibly, he must be quite a frustrated chappie, lifelong chastity and all that.

Will do, mate. So chuffed things are working out for you.

And if we have a nice time, perhaps we could arrange a future date at that predominantly duck restaurant on Ile St Louis over the bridge from my mate's gaff*. Though for the first meet, perhaps find a bar near your park as I've never spent much time in the 17e and would like to see it.

    Ganpati bless.

Wow, cheers, mate. I never knew that.

There's a huge Hanuman statue near Karol Bagh about a mile from where I always stay that was covered in bamboo scaffolding when I first visited in the mdi-90s.. And the scaffolding was still there last time I looked in the mid-2010s. But googling, it seems they've actually finished it now:
