But like the Hornby/Meade story, he was the best player in his school, the best in his district, the best in his county, best in his year at the Arsenal youth academy, signed a professional contract when most of his mates were released, did well in the reserves, earned a first team place... he should be earning a comfortable living in the Belgian or Ducth leagues, surely?
