I don't dispute what you say, but as a brand, they're always going to feel a bit low-rent, aren't they?

I once briefly had a highly-specced Vectra from the work pool and it was an extraordinary piece of sh*t. It felt like it was made of lead, had all the oomph of a milk float and generally felt like quite a comfortable hearse.
