I was watching one of the recent New Zealand T20s games and picked up on something....
Hardly any 2s or 3s being scored.
The ground was so small and the ropes brought in that you were scoring dot balls, 1s or hitting the ropes.
2s and 3s were just quite simply impossible to achieve.
so everyone fell into the trap of trying to get the 4s and 6s and if they didn't there would be dot balls or 1s so you ended up with a very very tense low scoring game that just wears on you as a batsman....sucked into that grind of dot balls and 1s and then a couple wickets go and the game has completely turned.
It's so awesome how that can consume a team so quickly...but then a few 6s and it's all good again.
you do get games with excellent running between the wickets but not as often as you used too.
