To be fair (which is more than he deserves) I think he joined a protest demanding that the book was banned. Whish is bad enough, but still.

Mind you, given the extent of Rushdie's ****itude, one could understand anyone calling for his death in a weak moment. And Keith is apparently prone to a weak moment.
