    Paralympics

has anyone watched a second of it? Surely, no one apart from the participants friends and family does.

I did see an image of 2 midgets playing badminton and thought that could be amusing.

As much as I applaud their achievements, I just can’t get excited about the paras.
Midgets splashing around in the pool or blinders holding hands for a 100m dash just seems like parody.
Can things get anymore inventive in the quest for Spacker gold ? Amputee fencing or a one legged arse kicking contest. It’s a no for me.

Presumably there has to be some process whereby athletes are judged as being sufficiently disabled in order to participate.

I can imagine that actually being quite amusing - ‘just the one finger has been amputated?! pull the other one mate, on yer bike son’ etc etc

At one point mad Jens claimed he was going to be the goalkeeper for the blind football team. That would have been a good watch. Imagine the carnage he would have created

I watched Wheelchair Tennis yesterday. I feel bad for saying it but it was awful. A rally never went past more than 3... ever. They just hit the ball the opposite direction to where the opponent's wheelchair is pointing and win every time.

Murderball - it's a good watch as well.

Not that fussed about the running and the swimming either tbh. I'd watch wheelchair diving though
