We could beat both of these...... I'd fancy us against either.

I completely agree and thought the same thing watching it last night.
It is a shame we won't get there though, Odegaard will go missing again tonight and we'll lose on the night as well as on aggregate.
It was more how the momentum totally shifted in the second half. Barcelona couldn't get a kick first half as Inter pressed them high and bullied them. Second half, Barca did the same to them and Inter totally wilted, seemed to have no idea how to kill the tempo or stop playing straight into the problem. And my word, Inter just do not seem to know how to defend a cross to the far post. Literally acres of space.
And we've seen doubling up on Saka on an almost weekly basis. We've seen it done well, and seen it done badly. Last night Inter did it badly and didn't seem to understand it left gaps elsewhere.
Beatable. Doesn't mean we would beat them, obviously :-)
Or that we will get the opportunity....
Well, you don't know that, do you.
You have every reason to expect it, but you don't actually know it :-)
Personally..... I think we have a decent shout. I'm in Anfield 89 mode. If we can stay in the game long enough at 0-0, you never know. And our record in big away games is pretty decent.
That said, PSG are the best side we have played this seaosn by some distance.
Well if a miracle happens and we get to the final I am happier playing Inter than Barca. We melt against teams that can play a high line and quick 1-2 passing as good as Barcelona. I don't want to hear about how we've done against City & Liverpool. This Barca team are different.
Granted, in the first 5 mins or so, Gibbs slipped and gifted it to Park(?) who Almunia then dived past.
Almunia then let a free kick in from 45 yards. I mean, FFS!
Almunia had a decent game at their place. Even a stopped clock...and all that.
They have. And then there have been periods where all our main players were available, we were fielding a very strong starting XI and still dropping points.
The injuries have made things harder, but we haven't been at it all season. He needs to rethink some of our tactical work. Too often we are too slow and too conservative in our play. And it gets worse when we get in front.
