Can't wait to see what we're like with Kai back - hopefully playing the best football of his career so far and never getting injured again.
Given how deep Odin plays, I see no reason why he can't start in the Santi role. {If that Santi team had had B at RW, Dec at DM and Big Willy and Gabby behind them then it could really have achieved something.}
I know we're gonna be starting Zubi as he makes everything tick, but if we're playing Kai and need a goal, we should try Dec-Odin-Easy with Kai up top. Three no.10s, two goal scoring wingers, and Dec busting forward with Ricky C and JT getting involved.
If Vik's not performing, then playing Kai, with his tendency to drop into the inside-right channel where Odin normally is means we could have Odin dropping deeper like Santi did with Easy at inside left, which would get the best out of Leo or Gabby and Ricky C or MLS. That spot has been our weakness since GX left.
Kai and Dec have the height to get on the end of crosses. I was watching Odin getting the ball on the edge of our own box in which case we need players in the no.10 role and Kai and Easy can do that on either side.
We have or CB pairing back, thank Ganpati, and if we can get our RBs back healthy then it's just about making it click up top.
I do wish he'd try Ethan. And if our RBs are out, then B and Noni could switch RB/RW with Hinchappy at LB playing as a third CH to cover for B and Noni going forward. Or Ricky C but told not to libero it.
But the bottom line is we've moaned about Vik when he's played at top, we've moaned about Jeez, but we've never moaned about MnM. In part that may be because we're giving him a bye cos he's playing out of position but I do think he's looked the best of the three for the way we play. Hopefully Kai will prove my point as he's a more natural 10/false 9 than MnM.
