    one of the local supermarkets has given over, probably about, two-thirds of their checkouts to self-scan or self-checkouts.

    The place is constantly teeming with píssed off shoppers and assistants dealing with flashing red lights.

    They do keep unfortunately running people over. Mind you, if you only stick one Lidar unit on the roof despite even the people who make Lidar saying that's not enough AND employ ex-cons as your 'safety drivers', you are probably going to kill pedestrians.
