Terrific car. Ford have got things spot on in general at present.
The RX has lots and lots of space in the back, and in March they are launching a lengthened version with 7 seats.
If you're really after an estate you might look at the Volvo V60. A little on the dull side, but extremely competent.
They have a history of building great cars, in amongst the Sierra-type dross. Consider the early Cortina, the Escort, the 3 litre Granadas. The current Fiesta is an especially fine car. Good company, Ford.
I mean, compare theiur product over the years with their traditional biggest rivel - Vauxhall.
I don't dispute what you say, but as a brand, they're always going to feel a bit low-rent, aren't they?
I once briefly had a highly-specced Vectra from the work pool and it was an extraordinary piece of shít. It felt like it was made of lead, had all the oomph of a milk float and generally felt like quite a comfortable hearse.
Fords are damn fine cars Pok - would never buy one myself like.
Last year I decided to buy myself a restored Mk 2 RS2000, or even a Mk 1 RS1800, just because I so desperately wanted one when I was a teenager. I thought maybe 10k would buy me something nice.
Hahahahaha! 10k buys a basket case. You're looking at 30 for a decent one.
