The argument appears to be that, by drawing attention to or complaining about instances of violent Islamic extremism, we are causing those acts. So therefore we should all shut up about it and then it will go away. It doesn't specify what happens if we do all shut up and it doesn't go away, of course, but ho-hum.
There is also the entirely false suggestion of tit-for-tat acts - as though Islamic terrorism were simply a response to all the anti-muslim violence in the UK that doesn't actually happen. It's a tissue of lies, basically. Even Simon Jenkins wouldn't write it.
