The problem is that it's gone on so long now that there are serious negative social and professional consequences to pointing out that it's a bit mental. This means people keep quiet and that silence is interpreted as affirmation.
Difficult to see how we get out of it.
Social media's fault, allows small groups of idiots to have a louder voice than they should have and then other people take notice and think it's a far bigger issue than it actually is.

It's also oxymoronic. If you think, as I do, any post-op former male is a female, then I'd fight for her rights like any other woman as I'm non-discriminatory. But if they're saying they're trans, not women, as they have cocks and balls, then their rights wouldn't be covered by women's rights which is what feminism is about.

You've got it completely, diametrically wrong. It's the acceptance of anyone at all who isn't biologically female as such which has got us to this point. That was the thin end of the wedge. The minute you accept that lie as truth, you open up every other absurd possibility that we've seen since. By saying 'Oh, well. You've had the surgery, so we'll say you're a real woman,' you're fúcked because you've conceded the idea that there can be such a thing as a non-biological female - and there can't be. Your rational argument is fatally undermined the moment you abandon rational, empirical reality in favour of cosy niceness.
The fact is, these people are always going to shout 'transphobe' at those who point out the truth because they want to shut down honest public debate of this nonsense by framing any view they don't like as bigotry. They want to make it impossible to challenge the orthodoxy because they know it doesn't stand up for a moment's intelligent scrutiny.
