I said it wasn't the main reason, but it will certainly have helped along with the other points made...... it isn't classed as cool to smoke, so having pictures of blacked up lungs etc will help reduce it

I have to say that the tendency to to plaster deformity/amputee porn all over cigarette packets is one of the most repellent developments of the last decade or so. When you go somewhere where they don't cover up the fags, you're just confronted with this solid wall of amputations, growths, throat-holes, gangrenous extremities, diseased lungs and rotten teeth. It's fúcking rank.
Read thon book Sir C recommended. You'll then consider such imagery light hearted and jolly.

The Wolf and the Watchman? Oh, yes. That's all good fun. I must say, I did laugh when the author first doubled down on the grimness by making the poor chap become the shít-eating sexual plaything of perverted toffs.

Aye. It conjured images which I cannot now un-see

It did become rather weighed down by the need to add an unexpected dramatic twist to even the most peripheral sub-plot. I think the author had the last laugh though by managing to fashion, after so much dante-esque horror, something approaching a happy ending

I did think that removing all his teeth so they could all orally sodomise him without negative consequences was a nice touch.

I reckon if I wrote a modern noir under a Scandi nom-de-plume in which the protaganist kills his victims by plucking out an eyeball and sodomising the bloody socket, it would cause quite a stir - shame I can't write.

You do it b and buy me a beer for the idea!

Funny I saw that picture in Tescos and thought it was over the top. Glad to know it’s fake.

Anywon want a couple hundred packets of green rizzla?

30g of baccy has for the last few years comes with one of the above, and I use silver. Seems such a waste to chuck 'em out after having to pay 50p each.

    Peter, are you out there?

Much better in the old days when in F1 it was the black and gold JPSs against the red and white Malboro McClarens.

Wish they'd had B&H. With Mayfairs at the back of the field on a shoe string budget.
