Oh yes, what glory did the now canonised Arsene bring us in the two European finals we reached under him?

Oh, and the last couple of European semi-finals we reached under him

But we played lovely football. . .

Agreed. FACT! I love(d) the man.

I also enjoy pointing out that all was not rosy under AW...

Well no, it wasnt'. And I fulminated about it more than most when things like that pathetic capitulation against Galatasaray occurred.

But on balance, things were still much, much better.

He did pick Almunia over 100 times, b. Shirley, you can find a little bit of hate for AW, just for that?

Exasperation, yes. Frustration, yes. Bewilderment, yes.

    Hate? Never.

I can only feel the negative emotions for AW that one inevitably feels for those one truly loves.

And I don't hate Emery. I simply wish I could ignore him and never be exposed to his foulness ever again.

He gave you a central midfield of Vieira and Petit.

He gave you a league title win at Whiet Hart Lane.

He gave you a league title win at Old Trafford.

He gave you an FA cup final victory over Manchester United which was 90 minutes of pure shíthousery.

He gave you a front three of Henry, Bergkamp and Pires.

And you bear a grudge about Almunia?

Well yes, we did play lovely football.

Would you rather be remembered for being a member of the losing Dutch world cup side in 74 and 78 or a part of the winning Greek side in the Euros in whenever it was? Success and achievment isn't a simple matter of black and white.
