    All Guardiola had done before managing Barcelona was to manage their B team.

    Modern managers don’t need to be like AW and perhaps Ferguson, controlling the club from top to bottom. They understand how a football club works and have the correct support structure around them.

    PV is as good a risk as anybody.

    Well we now have a world-class Director of Football (Sanhelli) - who I assume appointed Enrique/Guardiola.

    A world-class head of recruitment.

    Some good players.

    I just hope that they will now deliver the EL as a parting gift for the great man.
