I have some leftover bol but no bread. Perhaps I will reheat if with a can of flageolet beans. That sounds perfectly repulsive.
Could you not just eat it with a spoon? Or in a baked potato?

Or you could buy some bread?

Potato at lunchtime seems wrong, somehow.

Buying bread would mean going out. To be honest, I very rarely leave the secured compound these days. When I look at Twitter and see the madness without, I am filled with anxiety and wish only to remain safe inside my gates

I would almost expect you to make your own?

That is not a derogatory comment or an invitation for an argument, simply that you are established as a food snob and as such these are the type of things a food snob would do. The type of thing that an ordinary person would simply dismiss as too much hassle, but ultimately where the result would be good.

I have experimented with making my own bread and, in fairness, it was a pain in the hole. I have further experimented with a breadmaker, and the results were utter shíte.

I do regularly make my own flatbreads, which is pretty simple, but I can't be ársed getting flour everywhere at lunchtime.

Would the big house not contain a slice of bread at all?

Unlikely. I do have some Homepride plastic bread in the freezer. Perhaps I will have bolognese on toast.

Plastic bread is perfect for the job imo. You want something yielding and absorbent.

Yes, but having been frozen, it must be toasted. Once bread has been frozen it requires re-cooking to take away the freezer cooties.

    Do you see?
