I would almost expect you to make your own?
That is not a derogatory comment or an invitation for an argument, simply that you are established as a food snob and as such these are the type of things a food snob would do. The type of thing that an ordinary person would simply dismiss as too much hassle, but ultimately where the result would be good.
I have experimented with making my own bread and, in fairness, it was a pain in the hole. I have further experimented with a breadmaker, and the results were utter shíte.
I do regularly make my own flatbreads, which is pretty simple, but I can't be ársed getting flour everywhere at lunchtime.
