I am going to the curry house tonight.

I shall have one of the house special dishes I haven't had before and a chicken vindaloo. Onion rice too.

There will be no leftovers, mark my words.

To be fair I wouldn’t expect there to be from a fine upstanding chap like yourself. I expect you shall also have poppadums’ and lime pickle, chapati or roti sure why not.

There is a sense of flux around the Arsenal family today, one is reporting “left over curry” while another is speaking of falafel with guacamole. Funny thing the whole January transfer window.

There will be poppadums and possibly a peshwari naan.

I always say I'm going to have something different whenever I order a curry, but always end up having an onion bhaji, meat dhansak, mushroom rice and keema naan. Because that's what I like.

It doesn't make much difference what you order though, does it? The gravy all comes from the same bucket.

The heat and consistency differ. I like the lentilly element of dhansak.

For me, a curry shop curry is about predictability. I don't want innovation or surprise, I want the curry that's in my head when I order the thing.

    Vindaloo, IUFG? Respect.

Whilst I enjoy hot food, I'm afraid that would push the bounds of reason for me. Especially considering the experience the following morning.
