They've probably all been up all night having the old candlelit vigils imo.

a lot of my friends now have got married and just had kids, and a few have moved out of London. so the old ways of socialising are over and it's more of a meeting up every few months for a dinner which involves motorway driving and then looking at their boring baby hours and of course bringing a toy for the kid. Then that couple will question us intensely on why we are not having a kid. and for the wons who don't have kids it's the usual dinner party type *******s. when I have guests I feel this over urge to entertain and show people things. they talk about brexit and I try to avoid it.

It all feels very grown up.

I got excited about buying a new vacuum cleaner last weekend. And now the new washing machine

If you'd waited until the EU had loosened its grip on our nation's throat you'd have been able to buy a properly powerful hoover.

Sounds to me like your problem with your pals isn't so much babies as the fact that you don't drink enough. All such issues pale into insignificance once everyone's pīssed.

Well I normally do the driving and whilst the option is there I really do not like to stay over for the night.

I got this weird thing where I need at least part of the weekend to relax.

That's odd. On the rare occasions I see friends, I tend to want to see them for as long as possible. Perhaps the problem is that you don't really like your friends very much anymore?

Have you ever done a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test, f?

Interesting stuff if you like a bit of psychology. Sounds like you are an I not an E type of person.
