I would make one point, which will irritate some people.

What Liverpool did in the second half- THAT is game management. Aimless, stifling control, with the ball, in the opposition half.

The Grauniad?s often struck a more cerebral tone when it comes to sports journalism. David Lacey was always excellent. I still lament the passing of Times scribe, Brian Glanville in all things Football though.

Liverpool fans must be wondering why Slots been so profligate in defence up to this point, after watching that low block masterclass.
I?m not sure if that?s a compliment to us,or a critique of Slots game management strategy when playing lower league teams, where they get much more of the ball in those high press games.
