I must say, when the press were losing their **** a couple of weeks ago

suggesting it was now inevitable that we'd win the league, it smacked a little of Palace being crowned 'Team of the 80s' 3 weeks into the season

    Here we go again

    City's title to lose now.

Was always going to be a tough ask and we were never going to run away with it. It just got a bit tougher.

Long, long way to go and still plenty more ways we can find to **** it up

This is all very white flag, you know. I?ve always been more, glass half empty but we?re not even half way. We?ve played most of the top sides away and have huge depth to take us through the full season. The key is to stop these clowns spending more time in the treatment room and for Arteta to grasp the strategy of rotation; put those things right and we?ll have more than a good chance. If not, then I?m fairly certain that Josh will be wielding the axe at the end of the campaign against a chorus of ?chokers from the rest of the league.

For me, that is exactly it. Arteta is now, 3 months into the season, finally able to rotate his forwards and is doing it.

He has not had much opportunity to rotate midfielders as Merino has been needed up front (although he could have used Norgaard) and at centre back Hincappie was injured for a while.

But he has been able to rotate full backs all seasona and hasn't done so. That is a concern.

And of course you have to get people fit before you can rotate. I am afraid we are in a cycle I am not convinced we can climb out of. And I still think Arteta will be reluctant to do it.

Even with all of that, it is down to City. If they get in their rhythm (and they are showing some signs) we are not going to be able to keep up with them. We were all hoping they would be a shambles again. I don't think they are going to be....

We'll see. But if we keep dropping points this month and dro behind them by January, I'd say we are probably finished. We would need to go there and win. That just isnt going to happen.

I still think we lack the killer instinct.

City have a piss easy December, unfortunately; away to Palace is their only real possibility of dropping points. Madrid have an opportunity to dent their ego a bit in the CL but we?ll have to wait until January before they face tougher opposition.
December is a big test ending with the return game against Villa.

A statement signing in Jan to give the guys a boost would be nice.

Not sure that is the answer, or who you would sign.

Away to Everton is a huge test and an absolute must win.
