What cost Emery his job is the same thing that is hammering Arteta now. Wenger's panic buy big money signings during the final couple of years. Mustfi, Ozil and Xhaxa. The whole spine of the team. Big money, huge wages and you can't get rid of them. and none of these would start for a decent side. They'll sink Arteta too.

Xhaxa has been the worst player on the pitch today.

We could effectively field a non Wenger player XI if we wanted to, but it's all Wenger's fault? Bore off. Accept that our management acquisitions post Wenger have been awful. We chose a Europa specialist who can't speak a word of English and a ex player that wasn't even very good who's just nonced at Pep's training techniques and now thinks he can implement it.

We could have gone for Mourinho but he does't fit with Arsenal's "DNA" or something or we could have got Rodgers but maybe he's too British I dunno? Just get a friggin' assistant manger who was an average player at best with no real management experience instead.

Those 3 players are bleeding about £600'000 a week out of the club and none of them offer the squad any more use than Elneny who was a budget squad buy.

So what? Was it Wenger's choice to put Ozil in the reserves? Was it Wenger's choice to give Willian, a 32 year old, a 3 year contract on 200k? Did Wenger spend 75m on Pepe, the new Gervinho? Was it Wenger's choice to give Cedric and Mari long term contracts? Was it Wenger's choice to not even let Saliba play League Cup games and so many other stupid things? Wenger left nearly 3 years ago and 5 transfer windows ago. You Wenger Derangement Syndrome sufferers need to let it go.

None of that changes the 3 dead weight super signings that have hammered the last 3 managers.

Willian looks a daft signing to me but didn't break the bank.

Pepe, Emery has confirmed that signing had nothing to do with him. A mess.

The Saliba **** up was a joke i'll give you that. Nevermind the league cup, not having him in the UEFA squad was criminal. There's a good chance a lower league side can knock you out of the league cup. Primitive Irish Dundalk, semi pros will never knock you out of a league format. Embarrassing management espeically when you consider he actually played the Bosnian as a CB in these games.

Arteta's major problem now is the complete mismanagement of his squad that has left us in dire straits until the next window or unless Martinelli can come back early and save our season. (unlikely). The balance up top is a complete abortion. Every forward we have is based on the exact same style. They play off the shoulder with a number 10 or a aerial type to play them in. Paired togther they're almost useless. And this goes further than just Aubameyang and Lacazete. Nketiah and that other young black lad who scored the other day all literally play the exact same style. There is no link up man. Things are that desperate i'd nearly consider putting that big young donkey fella Moller on the bench just for a bit of variety.

The last window was a disgrace. The Parety signing was a great one (assuming he's not injured for the season) but it meant booting out two of our best players from the last couple of seasons in Torrira and Guendouzi while we're still stuck with the ponderos Xhaka. A joke. what even was the point?

Everybody was wnaking themselves silly about how well Elneny looked after his loan. The reality is that that's because he was always on the same level as the overratted Xhaxa.

We finished the window with about 40cb's while signing even more. Utter nonsensense....

And just like Wenger he’s paying the price for abandoning a system that works.

4 of our best performances in the last few years are with a back 3 in 2 FA Cup semi finals and 2 FA Cup Finals.

And his version was more superior with more attacking intent from defensive players like Tyranny and wing backs sliding into midfield positions.

The formation yesterday was a far cry from this..just a standard 4231 with no movement so easy pickings for a dynamic team like Wolves.

    -

He’s on the ropes now. Lost a bit of respect for him for not bringing Luiz off last night.

    Called it at the time.

Yeah he might have passed ‘tests’ like ‘do you know where you are’ and ‘what day of the week it is’ but he played like a man with a concussion.

Look at him for both goal...lifeless and unresponsive.

And then passing the blame onto the medical team after! Ffs man you’re the manager...take him off!

    -

The good thing now is we’re highly likely to get walloped against Spurs so plenty of time to prepare. Is lockdown in London ending in time? Might try and nip off for a little staycation.
