    Time for some home truths

Our attack is that of a mid table side. It?s something of a miracle that we lifted the title, and in the end, by a healthy margin.
I?m going to put Saka?s dive in form down to injury and rehab. Still not convinced about Gyok.
Trossard?s done as an attacking force, despite his defensive work rate. Martinelli looks unable to go up a level.
I?m not overly convinced about Eze or Odegaard supplying service to the frontline either but on balance, Arteta will no doubt persevere.
It?ll be an interesting window because we won?t retain the title unless we pose more of a goal threat

The euphoria of winning the title has been shot down by yesterday's performance. On paper everything is a great achievement this season. Two finals and the league... But I have not enjoyed this season one bit. The football has been terrible to watch and I don't think I can handle watching another season of toothless dross. Saka can f*cking do one as far as I'm concerned. Highest paid player at the club and has a season like that. Unforgivable.

Good news is we'd have made a pretty penny from this season so time to heavily invest in the squad (again). A striker who can actually trap a ball would be nice.

These are more away truths. Our home form has been largely excellent

I think it is an issue of tactical progression as much as talent. Although a few upgrades are necessary if we want to take the next step and there does need to be some turnover in the squad.

I have moaned all season but we have won the league and come within two strikes of the ball of winning the champions league.

We aren't far off becoming a decent side

Largely agreed. The football HAS to improve now. We spend the sort of sums needed to find quality players and if we cant find them then I'd take serious issue with those responsible for doing so.

We got over the line in the Premier League. Now we need to play like champions- dominate games, find different ways to create, put the rubbish sides to bed every week.

And for the big games, we need to develop a defensive approach that doesnt completely obliterate our own threat on the break. The way we played at City is closer to the template we need, even though we lost that game.

Viktor Gronkey the Multi-headed Donkey absolutely blew dog. Became a walking guarantee of losing possession. That vision of the 7 headed, 7 pairs of legs creature the Indian Gods visited upon me was their joke. ( Ganps did warn me how mischievous they can be). The were effectively saying "Herbert! It doesn't matter how many pairs of eyes or feet you give that fellow, he'll still be f uckin' useless."

Never one for over statement, eh 7s

Some truths in there, of course, and I was extremely disappointed in how poorly we kept the ball yesterday. I thought our entire ethos was based around possession, certainly wasn?t yesterday. And are they very good? Of course, but so good that 28% possession is acceptable? Not for me

As for the other bits, we scored the second most goals in the league, only 6 behind City so no we are not mid-table in that regard.

Trossard is a very good player with absolutely no pace, and it showed yesterday. I love Martinelli but share your view. If we need anything this summer it is a left sided attacking player. But it?s really hard to tell how good other players like Ode and Eze really are given how restrained we are in possession. Is that really due to their limitations or the tactics deployed by the manager?

Anyway, the most ridiculous thing posted, unsurprisingly, came from Bunnell. The idea that the joy of the league has been compromised by that performance is an obscene thing to say.

We are champions of the hardest league to win in Europe and we played in two cup finals and we have a manager dedicated to improving the team and owners who support him.

Life is good at the Arsenal

With respect, we do know how good Odegaard is because we saw three years of it before we started prioritising control and game management over progression through midfield.

Agree we were poor with the ball yesterday. They are a very good side and their midfield is stronger than ours, but if we are going to sit that deeper we have to improve how we move the ball out when we win it. And have to be brave enough to press.

Last night was really disappointing as an outcome. But it makes no impression whatsoever on my joy at winning the league. Irrelevant.

It is easy to let rival fans and idiot pundits bring you down and make you feel like ****. Ignore them. Embrace the envy

Remarkable! I mostly agree with W...

Noise coming out already sounds like after Baku. We need to invest and make tough choices to step up a level.

    That is a positive.
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

Well I?m not letting anyone stop me from enjoying the league, Peter, trust me. And even the media is mostly fair, The Times particularly so.

Ode we have to disagree on. We have seen him play well, of course, but not consistently enough and at the highest level that I have your degree of confidence in him. And misplaying simple balls that cost good chances has nothing to do with tactics, and he does it too often for me.

Anyway, it?s tradition, the finest French cheeses and a bottle of NSG for me today, Peter, including a toast to the Premier League champions!

Yes, but it's the idea that we won't do that, that the manager is somehow against it ...

To be expected from rival's supporters but, come on!
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."
