MLS is totally a midfielder, but he's kind of a tweeter isn't he? Not really defensive, but not really offensive either. He reminds me of Maitland-Niles. A great footballer, but not one definitive position.

It's like gridiron, not a running back but not a wide receiver either. Those types come in on 3rd downs in the RB spot but catch passes. No corollary exists in proper football.

He's a very talented but impulsive lad. I just thought this was a game for the more experienced guys. We shall see.

I do remember Jim McMahon catching a touchdown pass from Walter Payton. 22 yards, I think it was.

Although, practically anything was possible from them that year.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Agreed. He's just backing his players to go out and win the game.

Maybe he thinks Zubi's been a bit knackered. Go with MLS who's full of beans. Can go more attacking with Odin/Kai if need be, or bring on Zubi in the second half to shut up shop.

I remember by best Scouse mate saying decades ago that the reason Michael Owen then Wazza did so well at their first intl tournaments was that they had barely played all season while everyone else was knackered.

Perhaps MLS will be like that for us?

A compressed timescale Super Kev in '91.

That was probably a factor. And opponents knew less about them.

Look at Saka. For England, this is perfect. He's had a lovely month off with his feet up and is coming back for 4 or 5 games end of the season. He should be flying for the world cup.

    Rice will be ****kng knackered......
