No, we merely need to convince other clubs we think they will be

I think being willing to sell them kind of gives the game away.

We may think they are not good enough for us, but we need others to imagine we believe they are good enough for us so they'll pay fifty million quid each for them. Tricky.

I think the excuse is finances. Selling them is pure profit on the books.

MLS probably won?t make the grade. A bit like the Willocks, he?ll possibly do a decent job at another club at a level below the top 6.
Nwaneri is the gamble. A loan?s the preferable solution. Realistically, the accountants will probably have their way.
Any offers for Trossard and Jesus will be derisory. White would draw in buyers but at a loss. I don?t see us selling Martinelli, although the profit could also be an incentive, he?d have plenty of takers.

We need Chelsea?s marketing department tbh.

Yes, it's always difficult to run an essentially illegal operation according to the actual rules; any wrong-doer who's ever tried to go straight could've told them this.

They really need to pick a lane and then stay in it

Right. But the actual reason is they're both too small and Arteta has rather individual ideas about that sort of thing.

They're worth a punt for almost anybody else though.

Max may as well **** off now. No point in signing a contract, getting shunted back to the reserves and then ending up on loan because we've spent a fortune on another big lump from Chelsea.

That's football, he's had his chance.

Perhaps we could give him to Chelsea, in return for a big lump.
