I think a good performance (result aside) is of paramount importance tonight.

Not because we want to win the CL - but to set the tone for Saturday.

Two defeats in two with a bit of a ramshackle XI isn't ideal but familiarity should return tonight.

Having Raya back to instill a sense of calm is important. And it's a big night for Messers Odegaard and Gyokores (for different reasons).

We have a problem at right back. Timber still out, and Ben White now seemingly a pub player.

He may have to use Mosquera.

Because he played like a pub player on Saturday does not mean he is a pub player, I expect him to start if he's fit. And I would not be at all surprised if he played well.

And we can beat Sporting with a problem at RB, if Rice and Gabriel are fit and Ode returns to form.

I'd love to see him play, and play well. But there has to be a concern about his confidence.

Likewise, Odegaard. I?ll make allowances for the injuries but he?s been mostly awful in the games where he has been fit.

I thought he looked pretty good at Southampton, although he should have scored.

He wont play tonight. It will be Havertz.

Using Mosquera would require Gabriel to be fit and I'm not sure he is. Unless he plays a back 4 of Mosquera, Saliba, Calafiori, MLS.

    White will start.

I thought Gabriel was ok. But you might be right

If there is any doubts on him then I'd leave him on the bench. Saturday is our priority over today.

Lisbon have won 17 in a row at home too :-/
