He only tends to do that sort of thing when victory is within sight, H. When he?s staring defeat in the face and hopelessly out of ideas, (as per the recent final defeat) he tends to stand motionless - proper rabbits caught in the headlights stuff.
It?s in those moments that you see his limitations when faced with superior opposition. The confidence drains from him as the players look to him for guidance and nothing comes back.
I want to be wrong about Arteta but this is the second season where we?ve failed to improve our playing style in the final third and busked it with forward players who aren?t really good enough to turn it into the victory procession that you?d expect from Champions in those final few games.
