Nice play and ball from Eze in the buildup as well.

I think he's looking much more comfortable with what is being asked of him. I don't think his role at CP was anything like the Ode role he is being asked to play now. When I watched him at CP he tended to play farther forward and out wide more often.

Great ball. But when we are facing the low block he needs to drop back more. When we changed shape and he was starting from deeper he had much more influence on the game. That's where you want him.

I thought we managed the injiry time at 1-0 really well. Only threat over 7 minutes was the throw and the corner, and we won the first header at both.

But they have to implement the rule as it is. I agree that I would make a difference if it's not deliberate, but that would just open up a whole new problem over interpretation.

It would have to be a red if it's just out-side the box. After all, he would have scored, have an 85% chance {or whatever} of scoring a pen, but hardly any direct FKs go in.

But he hit his ankle on the back leg, he was miles from the ball. He had no chance of winning the tackle and stopped Kai shooting when 1-on-1 in the box.

Absolutely. I dont like the rule, but it is the rule.

Var ignoring such an obvious foul is a huge concern. And they did ignore it. This cannot possibly be put down as an error. It is a decision.

The pundits at half time were laughing about it. That's how obvious it was.

    Yes, ridiculous.

The only thing it could be is that (as I've suspected) the officials have long since made up their minds that Kai tends to go down a bit too easily, as they say.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

    Too easily and badly, imo.

It looked like a dive even though it wasn't. Kai needs to dive better, it's the only solution

Var is there to ensure that bad divers still get penalties.

He's a tall fella, he's always going to look slightly odd when he goes over

Exactly. And they should have seen he doesn't start doing his bambi on ice impression until the studs go down his ankle.

Maybe, but cheats must never prosper, all the same.

Not saying Kai is a cheat, of course, but the principle.
