Kind of what I was getting at. A solution that is so simple it must be wrong (for some reason....)

Agreed. Couldn't care less who 'presents' the programme. But if I am going to have to listen to 'expert' opinion I'd rather it was from people who know the game. Although some of tjem are insufferable

Whatever happened to Jimmy Hill. Might have been a bit of a dickhead but he knew his football.

By Jove, Watson, I think I've cracked it.

I had to google this cos I had no idea what this thread was about. But it seems the bint wanted Wrighty's job cos she is a black bint and therefore deserves a big job. But everyone else says Wrighty, for all his faults, is just a much better presenter.

    So, my solution is:

    1. Bring Wrighty back to MotD
    2. Let this bint I've never heard of replace Gary Neville because it is physically impossible she could be any worse.

She gets to commentate live on the biggest games.
Wrighty's back and everyone loves him.
Gary Neville gets shot and burried in an unmarked grave.

    Everyone's a winner.

The bias on Sunday was a bit odd but he's okay. I don't mind either him or Carragher as pundits, just hate them on comms.

You're only saying that because he, and his brother, both happen to know which end of a cricket bat is which
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

I'm sure we'd all be happy to settle for that compromise, but you cant have it both ways.
At least the football is only ninety minutes long, unlike test cricket

His brother is a piece of ****.

But I don't think Gary is that bad on commentary. There is definitely bias there but who cares?? Alan Smith is not exactly impartial

All I look for is a tiny bit of insight. The ability to call it out when a player has done something deliberately, or when a ref has clearly dropped the ball on something.

    I can't stand Carragher. Tosser.

i must admit, it does annoy me with test cricket. Most of the commentary teams and pundits are excellent but you have to have someone who has played that level, and faced balls at that pace. The rest of us simply aren't able to talk with authority about it.

And as you say, there is a lot of air to fill over five days.....
