Is it even worth celebrating? As an achievement is seems to sit alongside me turning up on time for work.

Most peoples don't appreciate the fact that the competition itself is the point, the thrill; not the winning.

Only the English, because we love to play above all else; even if we have to lose in order to encourage others to play, we happily accept it.

It doesn't get boring because football is good, regardless of who wins. You have a few beers regardless.
